History

Year	Details
1958	Deposit collection placed in the Malvern Post Office, available during post office hours.
1982	Malvern Community Branch opened in Malvern Community Recreation Centre and Library by the Scarborough Public Library Board, 13 October. Architect, A.M. Ingleson Associates.
1999	Sunday opening initiated 17 October.
2003	Closed 9 June for renovation and expansion, Phillip H. Carter Architect and Kingsland & Architects Inc., (in joint venture). Bookmobile service provided 4 hours per week.
2005	Bookmobile service closed. Malvern branch opened 6 January.
2007	Open hours per week increased on 8 January, from 50 to 59.5.
2008	October 6 - Rita Cox Black & Caribbean Heritage Collection moved permanently to Malvern from Cedarbrae District Library.
2010	New Hours, 13 September. Hours open per week increased from 59.5 to 65.5.

Malvern is on Indigenous land. This is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee (ho-den-oh-sho-nee) Confederacy (aka. the Six Nations Confederacy), the Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
