Summary/Review: A young girl and her grandfather restore and repaint a carousel horse. In repainting the carousel horse, they reminisce about her grandmother and paint pictures on the horse reminding them of events in her grandmother's life. As grandfather and granddaughter paint a carousel horse, they use symbols of grandmother, a woman they both loved: ribbons that she won at the fall fair, stamps for the letters she wrote to soldiers during the war, and most importantly, a heart around her name.
