Summary/Review: Despite the success of their last major investigation, Detective Peter Wendel's Cold Case Unit has hardly risen in esteem at the police station. Besides which, they are understaffed and distracted: Jorma has quit, Caijsa's maternity leave is looming, and Peter isn't doing well after finally accepting his brother's suicide. But everything changes when a colleague is found killed. Peter knew the dead officer, who was also a close friend of Urban, his brother. The murder kicks off a chain of events that implicates a high-ranking police commissioner in a degraded double life, and casts doubt on whether Urban really did kill himself. Peter begins to suspect that his brother was onto something for which he was silenced.
