The Interlibrary Loan request form is not functional at this time. To submit a request, please speak to branch staff or contact Answerline.

Use Interlibrary Loan to request books, microfilm, photocopies, or other material that Toronto Public Library doesn't have in its collections.

Making a request

A valid Toronto Public Library card is required to make an interlibrary loan request. How to get a library card

Print form

Complete the printable Interlibrary Loan Request form (PDF) and take it to any library branch.

Self-serve interlibrary loan

Self-service interlibrary loan is an optional service that allows you to search for items in other Ontario public library systems and place your own requests. Register for self-serve interlibrary loan by emailing us your name and library card number at selfserveillo@tpl.ca. After we process your request, we will send you instructions and a self-serve interlibrary loan link.
