Beanstack is a free web-based reading tracking software. You and your child can track your reading, write book reviews, receive personalized book recommendations and more!

How do we sign up?

  1. Go to our Beanstack website tpl.ca/readingapp or download the Beanstack Tracker app from your mobile device’s app store.
  2. In the app, locate Toronto Public Library from the drop down menu. Click on “Register an Individual or Family”.
  3. If registering as a family, parents should click “I am Registering Myself” first. You can add additional family members after you register yourself.
  4. Fill in your info! Beanstack allows families to be linked together, so all family members can be accessed with one login.
  5. Join the “TD Summer Reading Club 2023” challenge and “Summer Wonder Challenge”! A reader will only be able to register for the challenge for their age.
  6. Log your reading and activities to earn virtual badges all summer long. Keep track of books you and your child enjoyed by writing a review. It’s that easy!

How do I participate in a challenge?

Challenges are fun ways to track milestones in Beanstack. Kids can earn badges for achievements such as reading a book or completing an activity. You can register your child for the challenge designed for their age group then track their reading and activities to unlock each badge.

Register for either of the TD Summer Reading Club 2023 challenges between June 24-July 31 for a chance to win a wonder-full prize!

Contest details:

Children ages 4-12 are eligible to enter. Contest closes July 31, 2023 at 11:59 pm Eastern. Prizes will be awarded through a random draw. Winners will be contacted via email by August 18, 2023. Prize packs may include: 1 fidget pop-up bracelet, 1 tree planting kit, 1 bookmark/ruler/magnifying glass, 1 bandana, 1 folding binoculars, 1 colouring tote bag. Contents may vary. Prize packs are suitable for children ages 4 and up. Up to 34 prize packs will be awarded.
