The Personal Care Bank Initiative

The Personal Care Bank (TPCB) and Toronto Public Library have partnered to provide access to free personal care products to people who may face challenges in purchasing them.

Cabinets containing these products are installed outside of select branches and can be accessed 24/7. The products are available while quantities last.

More on the cabinets

TPCB works with local volunteers to replenish the cabinets with personal care products, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, etc. The service runs on a 'by community, for community' philosophy and local community members are welcome to help stock the cabinets with products.

  The Personal Care Bank (TPCB)

  TPCB is a Toronto-based community run initiative that places banks (cabinets) around cities. The banks are accessible 24/7 365 days a year with the primary mission of providing personal care items to those who need it for free.

  TPCB operates seven other personal care banks in Toronto and has recently expanded to other cities.
