You can buy donated items and materials withdrawn from the library's collection. Money raised from book sales is used to support library programs and services.
Prices
Materials range from $0.50 to $5 with the majority of materials priced at $1. Please bring your own bag.
Treasures sale event
September 14-16, 2023
Great deals on thousands of first editions, rare and collectible books from $2 and up. Sale takes place in Beeton Hall at the Toronto Reference Library.
Please bring your own bag and patience as there may be a lineup.

Book Ends Store Locations and Hours
The library’s largest book sale locations are called Book Ends North and Book Ends South. Both stores are staffed by Friends of the Library.
